How to make Matcha Pancakes

Updated: Sep 6, 2018

Matcha Pancakes!!

Qi Organic Matcha Powder hit the shelves earlier this year and we are constantly finding new and exciting ways to incorporate matcha green tea powder into our daily lives so we continue to reap the benefits of this amazing green dust!

One great and super tasty way to use your Qi Organic Matcha powder is in a batch of pancakes!!! Here is our fail-safe recipe to get you started...

The beautiful thing about pancake mix is you can adapt and add to it until you find your own perfect signature mix!

Mix 200g self raising flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.

Add 100ml milk, 2 table spoons maple syrup

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

3 eggs and mix it all up...

Give it a really good whisk up to remove all the lumps, either by hand or in a blender and make sure you get plenty of air into the mixture! This is when we add 2 teaspoons of Qi Organic Matcha Powder into the mix and stir through! Next Heat a pan on high and melt a small knob of butter or alternatively use some oil in a non stick pan. Drop batter into the pan a spoonful at a time until they are the desired size, ideally not too thin as these taste better smaller and thicker!Cook them for 2-3 mins then flip over and cook for another minute on the reverse. You will need to do this in 3 or 4 batches depending on the size of your frying pan. Serve the pancakes stacked up with plenty of green fruit and a drizzle of warm lime curd or marmalade if you like.

Serving options include lime marmalade or lime curd, warmed Natural yogurt Syrup and a handful of grapes, blueberries, orange segments... The possibilities are endless!
