We LOVE a smoothie in the Qi Teas office! The only thing we dislike about a smoothie, is that it isn’t tea!
With this in mind we are always down for a smoothie recipe that includes our favourite Qi Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder! Matcha is the champion of green teas - a super concentrated powder made from finely ground, shade-grown leaves with a vivid green colour. It's been used for centuries by Japanese monks to relax and meditate whilst still remaining alert.
This smoothie is not only absolutely delicious, it is packed full of antioxidants and the goodness of the fresh green leaf! Not to mention the other ingredients which are packed full of complimenting goodness making this smoothie an extremely healthy choice!
The banana creates a creamy sweet base flavour, the baby spinach is packed full of iron and antioxidants, and the blueberries and oats add colour and texture focused on keeping you fuller for longer…
Grab your blender and add:
1 ripe banana
2 tablespoons of good quality porridge oats
240 ml of milk - we used almond milk, but whatever your preferred milk or milk substitute will be perfect.
1 full teaspoon of Qi Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder
30g baby spinach
155g frozen or fresh blueberries
If you are using fresh blueberries you may want to add some ice before blending to keep it EXTRA cool.
Blend well until creamy and combined. Pour into your favourite glass and enjoy the goodness as it courses through you!!!! This smoothie will keep you feeling full for a long while, it is a perfect choice for breakfast or lunch on a busy day and we promise will keep you satisfied until your next meal.
