The Goodness in Green Tea
The fresh green tea leaf is rich in healthy nutrients which are preserved in the preparation of green tea. The ancient Chinese recognised tea’s important pharmacological properties and described its properties in terms of:

•  Energizing the body and contributing to a feeling of well being.
•  Diuretic properties which detox and cleanse the body.
•  An aid to digestion and an ideal after dinner drink.

Modern science has discovered much more. Most of the modern research has focused on the antioxidant properties of green tea and, in particular, on catechins – a very powerful antioxidant which appears to be unique to green tea.

Antioxidants

However, when this takes place in conditions of mental or physical stress, under exposure to ultraviolet rays from the sun, absorbed environmental pollution oxygen can also transform into free radical which can cause great degenerative damage to the body’s cells.
